Material Recycling - Waste

Material Recycling - Waste

Aiming to clean the world, We provide solutions ranging from the recycling of excess raw materials (such as plastics or waste oil) to the remediation and restoration of contaminated soil. We are here to support you in the journey toward a cleaner tomorrow.

At GETP, we think that there is no such thing as waste – there are just excess raw materials. In order to cope with the increasing resource scarcity, we need to increase the recycling of raw materials and become more sustainable.

Our solutions for material recycling are based on global best practices and technologies. However, we believe that the key to the best results is tailoring the solutions to your needs in your own operating environment. With the extensive global LAMOR partner network, together we propose the optimal solution to tackle your challenge.

Besides supporting the oil and gas industry in transition toward more sustainable operations, we also serve a range of other industries and infrastructure customers in becoming more sustainable through increasing material recycling.

Also, we continuously invest in innovating new material recycling solutions. For instance, we work in improving plastics recycling and river cleaning – don’t hesitate to contact us for more information.

Industries served include: oil & gas; manufacturing & production; utilities and the public sector.

We follow the tenets of the "Waste Hierarchy" - whereby we manage wastes from - "cradle-to-grave" -, ensuring that wherever possible wastes are reduced or minimized at source, recovered and recycled, treated and disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner.

Treatment & Disposal

GETP understands the requirements to treat and dispose of all wastes in a safe, efficient, sustainable and environmentally friendly way.

We are able to choose the right technology that fits the application and this can be on- or off-site depending on the specific client requirements.

We have access to a range of technologies and can design, build, finance and operate a range of waste management facilities and solutions. Treatment and disposal solutions can be based on single-stream or single-client requirements, as well as multi-stream or multi-client needs, thereby offering economies of scale where possible.

Consulting, Planning & Training Services

GETP is mindful that waste management services need to be carefully planned and developed in line with internal stakeholder requirements and external regulations.

Lamor can support clients to identify and develop a waste management strategy, seek permits and planning approval, and train personnel in best practices. GETP can call upon a network of subject matter experts and associates to help clients formalize and enact their waste management strategies.

Total WM Services

Rather than thinking about procuring individual waste services, why not engage GETP to provide a total waste management service contract. This approach provides many economies of scale, from streamlined management and manpower, through to the provision of combined resources that keep capital expenditures and operational costs to a minimum.

MARPOL Complaint Port Waste Reception Facilities

The establishment and provision of port waste management reception facilities is an integral part of any port authorities' compliance requirements, as governed by the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973, MARPOL Convention. The key requirements are:

The port authority shall ensure the availability of waste reception facilities adequate to meet the needs of ships

The port authority provides the means capable of receiving the types and quantities of prescribed wastes from ships normally using the port; considering the operational needs of the users of the port, its size, geographical location and types of ships.

This requirement has enabled GETP to extend our waste management services footprint into the design, construction and operation of MARPOL - accredited port waste reception facilities. We work with governments, public authorities and military establishments to help safely and efficiently implement compliant facilities.

Waste Mateial Recovery & Recycling

Waste in many parts of the world is now regarded as a resource and at GETP we seek to add value to the wastes that we manage for our clients. Be it plastic or recovered oil, GETP works with a range of stakeholders to identify and promote greater resource efficiency.

We bring together the supply chain to enable circular economies to be created. We identify longer lasting and sustainable treatment solutions that provide maximum resource recovery. We develop waste education and awareness programs aimed at waste producers to reduce, reuse, recover and recycle where it is practical to do so.

GETP has developed some innovative and compelling solutions that can help you to manage wastes out of the supply chain or use what you do generate in a more efficient way.

GETP has partnered with River Recycle, an innovative startup which has developed a solution to help clean the world’s rivers. The premise is that discarded plastic can be a resource. Floating plastic is concentrated, collected and sorted in rivers before it can reach the sea. The plastic is recycled or processed into fuel using pyrolysis. This process cleans the environment, develops a valuable resource and provides local jobs.
